Kathleen Sue “Kitty” Parker peacefully passed away April 16, 2025, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with her son Michael and his wife Ashlie by her side.
Kitty was born to Louie and Nylah Bocz in Yakima, Washington, on November 14, 1946.
Kitty was raised in Ellensburg, Washington, graduating from Ellensburg High School in 1965. Kitty was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was everything to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kitty married Van Parker on August 11, 1978. They were married for 36 years until Van's death in 2014. Van was the love of Kitty's life and they lovingly raised five children together in Yakima.
Kitty was a stay-at-home mother most of her adult life. In the early 90's, she attended Trend Business College and worked for the Juvenile Detention Services in Yakima for many years.
Kitty was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Van and Kitty were sealed for time and all eternity in the Seattle Washington Temple in the summer in 1981.
Kitty is survived by her children, Hope (Lee) Bryant of Lake Stevens and their children McCager (Jessica) and Mason; Heather Dawson of Richmondville, NY and her children Kalen of Colonie, NY, Kylee (Jeff) of Ballston Spa, NY and Kelly (Josephine) of Morriston, FL; Sam Dawson of Selah, WA and his children Carlie (Mike), Morgan and Gracie; Michael (Ashlie) Parker of Idaho Falls, ID and their children Boston, Devin, Breyten and MiKenzie; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gary Bocz of Roslyn, WA; and her life long friend, Nancy Sanger of Yakima, WA.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Van Parker; her son, Joshua Parker; and her parents, Louie and Nylah Bocz.
The Family would like to thank Eagle Rock Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Idaho Falls, for the love and care they showed to our mom.
A private family graveside service will be at a later date.
