Biography

Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Johnson, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 20, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a lingering illness. Kathy was born February 27, 1949, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to David LeRoy McComas and Margaret Lucille Allison McComas. She attended school in Pocatello where she lived for 20 years before moving to Idaho Falls. She was a mother and a homemaker. She had also worked for Center Partners and as an Avon Representative. On November 15, 1969, she married Vernon LeRoy Johnson in Idaho Falls. She was a member of Calvary Chapel. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and playing Farmville on Facebook . Kathy is survived by her loving spouse of 44 years, Vernon L. Johnson; Daughter: Candace (Michael) Whitaker of Victor, ID; Daughter: Angela Yvonne Johnson of Ashton, ID; Daughter: Holly (Nic) Berthleson of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Daniel Paul LeRoy Johnson (Krystal Medicine Cloud) of Idaho Falls, ID; Mother: Margaret McComas of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister: Margo Starnes of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother: David Roger McComas of Idaho Falls, ID. 5 Grandsons and 5 Granddaughters and another grandson to be born in June. She was preceded in death by her father, and a stillborn daughter . Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at Calvary Chapel, 4250 South 25th East in Idaho Falls, with Pastor Gordon Boyle officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. at the church.
