Kathi Marie Jorgensen, 71, of Irwin, passed away January 3, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Kathi was born March 8, 1952, in Eugene, Oregon, to Allen Charles Caulkins and Lois Northey Caulkins.
On December 13, 1974, she married the love of her life, Dale Jorgensen, in Green River, Wyoming. Together, they were blessed with four children, Suni, Jeannie, Ken, and Nicholas. Kathi and Dale created a beautiful life together in Star Valley, Wyoming, for many years, having raised their children there, as well as welcomed their grandchildren. In 2002, Kathi, Dale, their son, and his family, moved to Irwin, Idaho.
Kathi was of Christian faith, she enjoyed learning about all faiths. Her one special favorite was her regular meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses while they lived in Wyoming. She loved and enjoyed all things outdoors: fishing, camping, and visiting the Oregon Coast with her sister. Her horses were her passion and she enjoyed them daily, her puppies (Foxy and Lucy), and hummingbirds were all favorites. She loved all animals, including the pesky raccoons that stopped by, she thought they were too cute to be considered pests. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Kathi is survived by her sons, Nicholas (Audrey) Jorgensen and Ken (Terra) Jorgensen; daughter, Jeannie Jorgensen; sister, Teri (Phil) Bronkhurst; brother, Phil (Sandy) Caulkins; grandchildren, Jayda (Jordan) Green, Tayann (Jared Vowles) Jorgensen, Dominic Jorgensen, Sam Nebeker, Lisa Nebeker, Kendra Jorgensen, Demri Nebeker, Preston Jorgensen, Kaydence Jorgensen, Charlie Jorgensen, Misty McMurdo, Heidi McMurdo, Jessica McAbee, JoDale McAbee, Dustin Jorgensen, Shawn Summers, and Stormi Summers; great grandchildren, Avery Jorgensen, Paityn Jorgensen, Brynn Jorgensen, Tristin Warren, and Briley Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Jorgensen; daughter, Suni Summers; granddaughter, Alissa McMurdo; beloved nephew, Jeremy Bronkhurst; and her parents.
