KATHERINE FAGER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Katherine Lynn Fager was born July 13, 1950, in Driggs, Idaho, to Jerald Duane “Jerry” Peacock and Marilyne Gay Hamblin Peacock, and is finally at peace after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away September 2, 2005, at her home. Up to the end, she showed tremendous grace while battling the devastating disease. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
Katherine grew up and attended high school in Driggs, Idaho. After high school she worked several different jobs in Teton Valley before meeting and marrying Gerald Milton “Jerry” Fager. They were married July 29, 1972, in Elko, Nevada. They had two children, Alexis and Jared, and moved to Idaho Falls in 1973.
Katherine spent her time while Alexis and Jared were in school doing the job she loved most, being a mother. Once Jared graduated from high school, Katherine returned to the work force as a sales associate at the Bon Marche. There, she turned her love of children into a cherished position in the children's department. She touched many lives while working there with her kind and caring ways, and developed a devoted customer base. She was always generous with her time and made sure that cupcakes were made for anyone having a birthday. Family members will always remember the meals she prepared with great amounts of love and food. No one ever went hungry in Katherine's house or if she was around.
Her greatest joy in the last several years has been in her five grandchildren, Camry, Lincoln, Catera, Carson and Kelton. No five children have ever had a better grandmother and they will never forget the sugar cookies that were made or the books that were read while spending time with her.
Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Peacock. She is survived by her mother, Gay Peacock, her husband, Jerry Fager, her children, Alexis (Troy) Carr and Jared (Marie) Fager, her grandchildren, Camry, Lincoln, and Catera Carr, and Carson and Kelton Fager, her sisters, Pam Anderson, Debra (Jack) Zollinger, and Janet Peacock, a brother, Zachary (Lisha) Peacock, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday for one hour prior to services, both at Wood East Side.
Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery at Tetonia under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Katherine requests that her friends and family go to lunch and tell each other crazy Katherine stories.

We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy in Katherine's passing. We became acquainted with her at the Bon as we walked. Helen also has cancer and they were able to share many thoughts and feelings throughout this past year. She was always such a source of encouragement and very positive in her situation. May you find much comfort in knowing that we share your loss.
