KARL G. HANOSKY
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Karl Gustave Hanosky, 65, of Idaho
Falls, died March 20, 2005, at his home of natural causes.
He was born March 13, 1940, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania,
to Gustave Karl Hanosky and Helen Mohar Hanosky. He grew up in Tarentum,
Pennsylvania, and graduated from Tarentum High School.
He married Barbara Jean Bosman of Springdale, Pennsylvania,
on May 12, 1962, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. They lived in Brownsville
and Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Florence, Alabama, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Delta,
Colorado, and Cinnaminson, New Jersey, before moving to Rexburg in 1977.
They also lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, before settling in Idaho
Falls. He worked for J. C. Penney Co. before starting a career in the
newspaper business. He was involved in newspapers for over 20 years, managing
several papers, including the Rexburg Standard Journal, and was co-owner
of the Rigby Star. He was also a real estate broker and owned his own
real estate business in Rexburg for several years. At the time of his
death he owned his own car dealership in Idaho Falls.
Karl was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He
caught several trophy fish and bagged several trophy game, including a
300 lb. mule deer. He spent many years coaching youth sports, including
baseball, basketball, football and soccer. He was a high school football
referee and baseball umpire. He loved spending time with his family, including
camping, hiking and picnicking.

Brother: Fred (Audrey) Hanosky, Harrisburg, PA
and 12 loving grandchildren, Kooper, Karson and Karly Jo Hanosky, Natasha,
Ashley and Lyndi Sermon, Jordan Keys, William and Andrew Hanosky, and
Mikayla Skyler and Ryler Hanosky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Thursday, March 24, 2005, at the Ammon
LDS 16th Ward, 4459 Katcina Drive, with Bishop Kerry Ball officiating.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6 to
8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, (273 North Ridge Avenue) and Thursday for
one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls.
