Karen Lee Widdison, 70, of Rigby, passed away December 6, 2023, at The Wildflower Assisted Living.
Karen was born November 29, 1953, in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Scappose High School in Oregon. She also attended Lynn- Benton Community College, UCLA in California, and The Gloria Lavonne School of Modeling.
She was a very talented artist, who drew beautifully. Karen lived life to the fullest, making a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Karen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent much of her free time volunteering to help children, such as teaching children art at the Waverly Children’s Home in Portland, Oregon. She was an advocate for children in the Los Angeles County Superior Court Office, and the Humanitarian Aide Coordinator and Fund Raiser with the ‘Bosnian Briefing’ a project funded by the Lasiewicz Foundation in Los Angeles, California.
She worked for Franklin Telecom as the Assistant to the President. Her area of expertise was in merger and acquisitions. She helped Franklin establish the “help NATO troops phone home” program.
Karen is survived by her sisters, Jill’Ene Parkinson, Adrienne J. Gering; and mother, Dora Mary Widdison.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Allen Widdison; and father, William Bart Widdison.
