Karen L. (Morgan) Chapple

Karen Chapple, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 3, 2025 with PML, a complication from cancer treatments. She was born on March 29, 1942, to William Blaine Morgan and Henrietta Hendricks Morgan in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She attended school in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. Karen married Butch Cope and to this union were born 2 children, Brian and Jodie. They were later divorced. On November 8, 1991, she married Bobbie Keith Chapple. Karen and Bobbie made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Karen last worked as a lunch aid. During retirement, Karen and Bob enjoyed summers at their 7N Ranch. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and golfing. She loved her grandchildren, especially bringing them to Heise for their "special time". Taking them swimming, playing miniature golf, eating pizza, and playing games. She was a great teacher and example to them, the best of grandmas.

Karen was blessed with great sisters and cherished her time with them. They made many trips, had craft days, and great sister time. She had life long friends and valued their friendships. She enjoyed spending time with them and enjoyed the ladies golf league.

Karen is survived by her loving children, Brian (Camille) Cope of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jodie (Dewey) Chapman of Firth, ID; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Steve (Koreen) Morgan, Kathy (Roger) Poole, Konnie Barney, Karol (Craig) Drake, and Len (Cathy) Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Henrietta Morgan; and husband, Bobbie Chapple. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, 3810 E. Menan Lorenzo Highway. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. A special thanks to Mission Hospice and Gables of Idaho Falls for taking special care of our mother during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Huntsman Cancer Institute .
