KAREN A. LOUK
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Karen Arlene Smith Louk, 63, of Iona,
passed away April 2, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from
an extended illness.
She was born January 10, 1941, in American Falls, Idaho,
to Arthur John Smith and Emma Louise Dille Smith. She attended school
in American Falls.
She met Thomas Franklin Louk in Iona, Idaho, in July,
1957. They were married October 4, 1957, in Iona and their marriage was
later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Their marriage brought
three children, Rena Corinne, Kenneth Ray and Arthur Joe. They first lived
in Idaho Falls, moved to Shelley in 1967, to Palisades, Idaho, in 1990,
then to Surgoinsville, Tennessee in 1993 to be near their son, Joe. In
1997, they moved back to Iona, Idaho, where her husband was born and raised.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society.

Roger (Carol) Smith, both of Valdez, AK,
Sister: Verena Wilkins, Irving, TX
11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers, a sister, and a
granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday,
April 6, 2004, at the Iona Stake Center with Bishop Kenneth Wrightson
of the Iona 2nd ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, and Tuesday for one
hour prior at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction
of Wood East Side Chapel.
