<p><span style="font-family: georgia,palatino;" data-mce-style="font-family: georgia,palatino;"><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">Karen Sue Cooper Jenson, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 9, 2017, at her home.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">Karen was born March 20, 1942, in Ogden, Utah, to Newell Aurelius Cooper and Barbara Bell Turner Cooper. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School. She also attended Utah State University, where she received her Master’s Degree in Instructional Technologies.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">On July 27, 1962, she married Royal Leo Jenson III in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, Wendy, Beverly, Jennifer, and Brandon. Karen and Leo were later divorced. Karen worked as an administrative assistant at Utah State University.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed reading, painting, writing, doing crafts, and playing the violin.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">Karen is survived by her<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">daughter, Wendy Sue (Steven) MacFarlane of Idaho Falls, ID;<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">daughter, Beverly Harris of Pocatello, ID;<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">daughter, Jennifer (Mark) O’Brion of Las Vegas, NV;<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">son, Brandon Jenson of Corydon, IA;<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">sister, Alaina Burtenshaw of Las Vegas, NV;<br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">sister, Rosalie (John) Caffaro of Idaho Falls, ID;<br />   </span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;">She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, Leo Jenson, her brother, Blair Cooper, and her grandson, Carson Leo Harris.<br /><br /><br /></span></span><span style="font-size: 16px;" data-mce-style="font-size: 16px;"><span style="font-family: georgia,palatino;" data-mce-style="font-family: georgia,palatino;">Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 1st Ward, 1660 - 12th Street, with Bishop Jay Child officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.</span><br /></span></p>
