KAREN FORBUSH
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Karen Forbush, 39, of Iona, passed
away April 7, 2004, at the home of her mother and father-in-law after
a valiant battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born August 27, 1964, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Dale
Lloyd Watson and Betty Joan Williams. When Karen was five, her mother
married Dean Bowles, and she became part of a large, blended family.
She attended Ucon Elementary, Bonneville Jr. High and
High School and Ricks College.
She married her High School sweetheart, Brent Forbush,
December 14, 1984, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They are the parents
of five children.
Karen enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, and also
worked at Barnes and Noble for four years.
She loved spending time with her family, gardening, decorating
her home, playing the piano and spending time with her many, many friends.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served in the Primary, Young Women's and Relief Society organizations.
She was the theme coordinator and decorator for the Festival of Trees
for several years, even through her illness.
Surviving are:
Her husband: Brent Elmer Forbush, Iona, Idaho,
their children, Hollie Christine, Blake Brent, Eric David, Lauren Nicole
and Paige Elizabeth, all of the family home;
Brothers: Mike Watson, Scot Bowles, Deward Bowles and Aaron Bowles;
Sisters: Susan Coles, Wendy Campbell, Andrea Johnson, Laurie Little, Deana
Brower, Sheila Schuetz, Tressa Turnetti, Pam Burt, Karyn Crow.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Watson
and her mother, Betty Bowles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday,
April 10, 2004, at the Iona LDS 1st Ward, 5169 East Denning Avenue, with
Bishop Jack T. Edwards, officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday, April 9th,
from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, and
at 12:00 p.m., Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction
of Wood East Side Chapel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
