Karen Dumont

Karen Dumont, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 28, 2023, at Elegant Residential Assisted Living in Pocatello, Idaho.

Karen was born April 21, 1958, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Eddie Wayne Dumont and Virginia Frances Irina Dumont. Karen grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Edgemont and Clair E. Gale and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1976.

Karen worked as a loan processor for Bank of America in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for 30 years. She moved back to Idaho in 2008.

Karen was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, movies, and going out to dinner, and she was a cat lady.

Karen is survived by her step-mom, Jean Dumont; brother, Gary (Gayla) Dumont of Rigby, ID; and sister, Marie (Chris) Bloxam of Idaho Falls, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Virginia Dumont; and sister, Magaret (Maggie) Alley.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2355 Rollandet in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
