Karen Louise (Arbon) Lloyd

Karen Louise Lloyd, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 13, 2022, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center.  She was under the care of Brio Hospice.

Karen was born November 22, 1958, in San Bernardino, California, to Ronald Kay Arbon and Mary Ellen Dalton Arbon.  Karen had fond memories of living in Lake Preston, South Dakota, on Mount Olympus, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and being an Idaho Falls High School graduate. She also attended Idaho State University.

On October 5, 2002, she married Len Todd Lloyd in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Karen and Todd made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Karen worked as Medical Office Manager for Dr. R. K. Arbon.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day, and enjoyed her church service and many brothers and sisters in the ward.

At a young age Karen had horses, Scout and Smokey, and developed a lifelong passion for anything equine related. She enjoyed assisting Dr. Arbon in caring for the patients, classical rock music and love ballads, sight seeing, gardening, BBQ, and her critters.

She was a woman of strong stature, with a melodic voice and those captivating blue eyes. She was proud of her Arbon Valley heritage, being a Lloyd,  and family gatherings were a priority. Anyone with the privilege of having known Karen certainly has been blessed.

Karen is survived by husband, Len Todd Lloyd of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Corey (Jen) Boyd of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeremy (April) Arbon of Boise, ID; son, Kenneth (Markie) Graves of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Gary (Cindy) Arbon of Riverton, UT; sister-in-law, Kathie (Jay) Hayes of Idaho Falls, ID; nephews and nieces, Jason Arbon, Katie Arbon,  Stacie (Sean) Beck, and Adam Arbon; 5 grandchildren, Austin Boyd, Abi Arbon, Micah Arbon, Kameron Logan, and Raven Graves.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Edna Arbon, Alvin W and Margaret M Dalton, and biological grandmother, Maida Monson; her parents, Ronald K. Arbon and Mary Ellen Dalton Arbon; brother, Kenneth Joseph Arbon; and step-daughter, Sylvia Krystal Lloyd, by one day.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
