Kara Elane Young Russell, 41, of Ammon, passed away September 10, 2011 at her home.
Kara was born May 5, 1970 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Kent Eldon Young and Kathleen Anne Empey Young. She grew up in the Idaho Falls area and attended schools in Iona and Shelley before graduating from Bonneville High School.
On November 3, 1989, she married David Brock Russell in Ammon. Together they raised three children. She worked as a CNA at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, and Liberty Dialysis, Homecare Medical, Home Health, and Center Partners.
Kara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed crocheting, camping, going on trips to the Oregon coast, scrapbooking, traveling, swimming, gardening, track and field, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Keith Empey, and her paternal grandparents, Mary and Eldon Young.
Memorial services for Kara will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Ammon LDS 4th Ward chapel (4375 E. Sunnyside Road)with Bishop Mark Schultz officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
