Kaitlin Manzanares

Kaitlin Reanna Sorenson Manzanares, 19, of Idaho Falls, returned to her Heavenly Father on May 30, 2018. Kaitlin was born August 2, 1998, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Randall J Sorenson and Tammy Andrea Welker Sorenson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She attended White Pine Charter School and Compass Academy and graduated summa cum laude. Kaitlin later attended The College of Southern Idaho and The College of Eastern Idaho. On August 6, 2016, she married James Manzanares in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Kaitlin and James made their home in Idaho Falls, where Kaitlin had a photography business and was a server at Jakers Restaurant. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended New Destiny Ministry in Idaho Falls and served in the children’s nursery. Kaitlin enjoyed playing soccer, horseback riding, photography and was a big fan of Star Wars. She was an animal lover and especially loved her husky dog, Echo. Kaitlin is survived by her husband, James Manzanares of Idaho Falls, ID; parents, Randall and Tammy Sorenson of Grant, ID; sister, Alyra Hazely Sorenson of Grant, ID; sister, Shelbie Sorenson of Harrisville, UT; and her grandparents, Winnie and John Welker of Ucon, ID, Bruce and Hazel Stanger of St. George, UT; and great grandfather, Ford Sorenson of Idaho Falls, ID. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Leanord Sorenson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Grant LDS 2nd Ward, 3431 East 100 North, with Bishop Vaughn Quinn officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
