Born June 8, 1918 in Bates, Idaho, to Alma and Marie Aslagsen Hansen, she moved to Driggs, Idaho, as a small child, where her father was County Treasurer/Tax Collector and then Idaho State Senator. She attended Teton High School in Driggs, where she played clarinet in the marching band and graduated as Salutatorian of her Senior class. She sang in a girls' quartet and remained lifelong friends with them. June rarely missed a Teton High reunion. She married Venar J. Riddle February 25, 1940, in Driggs, Idaho. After her three children were born, she was employed for 37 years at United States International University (now Alliant University) as secretary to the University President, retiring at the age of 75. She is survived by her three children, Judi Strang (Ken) of San Diego, Jill Walker (Mike) of Phoenix, AZ, and Jon Riddle of Kauai, HI; her eight grandchildren, Alesha Griffiths (Gary) of Oceanside, CA, Katrina Preece (Scott) of Oceanside, CA, K.C. She was an active member of the San Diego Sixth Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she greatly enjoyed her service in the Relief Society and singing in the choir.
