June Alice Beck Madsen, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away unexpectedly July 21, 2014, at her home. She had been battling multiple myeloma cancer and had taken ill.
June was born June 12, 1939, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Oral Daniel Beck and Alice Wilson Beck. She grew up and attended schools in Archer. She sang in a well known trio group along with her friends Lexi Robison and Shawnee Robison. She graduated from Madison High School in 1957.
On September 12, 1958, she married Kenneth Reed Madsen in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. They were blessed with two sons, Nicholas and Dan. June made her home in Idaho Falls, where she worked as a pharmacy tech for Sacred Heart Hospital. She and Ken were married more than 40 years before they divorced in 2001.
June was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and especially took pride in being a Visiting Teacher. She loved attending sporting events and rarely missed a game where her sons or grandchildren were playing. She was passionate about her grandchildren, had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh. She loved to listen to and tell stories. Very musically inclined, she was a tremendous singer and enjoyed playing the piano.
