Wanda June Lamoni, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 25, 2014.
June, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Coalgate, Oklahoma, on December 8, 1931. She married Pete Lamoni in 1948. June and Pete were married for more than 66 wonderful years. They spent most of their life together in Santa Paula, California. In 2013, Pete and June moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to be near their daughter, son, granddaughters, and their families.
June enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially at holidays. She made the best Thanksgiving cornbread stuffing, and her Christmas bingo parties were always a hit. She loved shopping at Broadway and May Company department stores, traveling, and playing the slots in Reno. She was an expert on current events, and she enjoyed sharing and discussing them, and may have been CNN's most loyal viewer.
June is survived by her husband, Pete; daughter, Linda Criswell; son, Roger Lamoni; granddaughters, Carla Were and Beth Jaggar; two great grandchildren; and several cousins.
June was a gracious, kind, and giving person and had many lifelong friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
