June Jackson, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 21, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. She was born June 1, 1947, to William Wilford Colvin and Esther Leona Hayes Colvin. She grew up and attended schools in the area, including Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Yakima Valley Community College where she received her GED and a certificate in office administration. June had five sons and four honorary daughters, her nieces Valette, Jeanetta, Becky Jo, and Pamela. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She also worked as an Office Supervisor for The Arc of Anchorage. In 1987, June moved to Alaska and then returned to Idaho Falls in 2014. June enjoyed playing Bingo, especially at Tudor Road Bingo, making quilts that she hand painted, camping, and traveling. She also enjoyed listening to country music and enjoyed her visit to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee and her tour aboard the General Jackson Showboat along the Cumberland River. She especially loved her family and taking care of all the grandkids, whether they were actually related or not. Survivors are: Son: Bryan Paul Russell of Idaho Falls, ID Son: William Floyd (Carol) Russell of Ririe, ID Son: Bradley Mirt (Debby) Jackson of Meridian, ID Brother: Richard (Christa) Colvin of Florida Sister: Mary Keele of Rigby, ID Brother: Valdean (Pattie) Colvin of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Mike (Marcia) Colvin of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Randy Colvin of Rigby, ID 19 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Blaine Deloy Russell and his wife, Linda; a son, Brent Darrell Jackson; and three siblings, William, Paul, and BeAnn. Private family services will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified of the time and place.
