JUNE OLGA ELG HUNTSMAN SPOKANE, WA -- June Olga Elg Huntsman, 76, former New Sweden resident, died November 13, 2001, in Spokane, Washington. She was born on June 4, 1925, the fourth child of Oscar and Amelia Elg. Raised in the New Sweden area, she graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1944. She married Donald Huntsman November 16, 1944. They lived and farmed in the Woodville area during the next 20 years, then June lived in Idaho Falls for 15 years. She later moved to Washington state and had been living near her sons for the last 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stanford “Pete” Elg. Surviving are:Sister: Mildred Steele, Idaho FallsSister: Anna Nixon, Idaho FallsSon: Stephen Huntsman, Honolulu, HISon: Monte Huntsman, Spokane, WASon: Farrel Huntsman, Moses Lake, WA 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wood Chapel of the Pines. Her cremated remains will then be buried at the New Sweden Cemetery, having returned to her ancestral home. Services are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
