VERN FINSTAD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- J. LaVern Finstad, 39, of Idaho Falls, died January 10, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1965, in Sun Valley, Idaho, to Larry Lee Finstad, Sr. and Thelma Ilene Christsen Finstad. The family moved to Idaho Falls when he was ten. He attended schools in the area. On April 11, 2003, he married Vickie Jean Erickson in Idaho Falls. He worked at various jobs which included chef and prep cook, laborer, and service cleaning. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going on walks and barbequing. Vern had a great sense of humor and made friends easily. Surviving are: Wife: Vickie Finstad, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jackie Liene Finstad Stepdaughter: Cortney Joy Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID Stepdaughter: Kodie Lee Dennis, Idaho Falls, ID Father: Larry Lee Finstad, Sr Brother: Larry Lee Finstad, Jr., Ohio Brother: Keith David Finstad, Indiana Sister: Sherrie Lynn Finstad, Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2005, at the Ammon LDS 2nd Ward (2945 Selway) with Bishop Jim Flamm officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
