June Marguerite (Charboneau) Taylor

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of June Marguerite Taylor, who left us on July 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Gables Memory Care of Shelley. June was 77 years old and bravely battled Alzheimer's disease and dementia in the later stages of her life.

Born on August 5, 1947, in Portland, Oregon, June was the cherished daughter of Albert and Wilma Charboneau. She was one of five children, growing up alongside her siblings, Albert, Robert, Patsy, Bobby, and Jimmy Charboneau. As the last surviving member of her immediate family she often fondly referred to herself as the "Last Mohican."

June spent her childhood in Idaho Falls, Idaho, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1965. She later met the love of her life, Larry Taylor, and they were married on August 20, 1981, in Colfax, Washington, where they resided for many years, raising her two sons, Clinton and Philip Nelson. In 1993, June, Larry, and her sons moved to Nevada. After her oldest son graduated high school in 1994, they both returned to Idaho Falls. June and Larry chose to remain in Nevada and Arizona, living outside of Idaho Falls until 2023.

In her final years, June returned to Idaho Falls, first living outside of town in Shelley before moving to a memory care facility at the Gables of Ammon in August of 2023 until late 2024 where she then returned home to Larry's care until May of 2025, at which time she was moved to the Gables Memory Care of Shelley where she spent her last days. Even as her condition progressed, June's laughter, tough love, and remarkable resilience shone through, a testament to her strength. Her loving warmth and endearing smile brought light and life to many.

June is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Taylor; two sons, Clinton and Philip Nelson; daughter-in-law, Lizzet Nelson; and two beloved grandchildren, Christina and Matthew Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all four of her siblings, many extended family members, and her grandson, Justin Nelson.

Though she is no longer with us, June's love and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who cherished her. She will be dearly missed.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
