Ellen June Fielding Arnold, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 24, 2013, at her home of causes incident to age.
June was born April 30, 1923, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Fielding and Amy Arave Fielding. She grew up in Jameston and attended Jameston Elementary. She graduated from Shelley High School.
On December 24, 1945, she married William Edgar Arnold in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Following their marriage they lived in Onalaska, Wisconsin, for five years, then moved to Idaho Falls, where he worked on Palisades Dam. They followed his work on dams in Arizona, Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho and lived in American Falls for 25 years while he worked on the American Falls Dam. They came back to Idaho Falls in March, 2000. Her husband passed away April 7, 2002.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. June loved to knit and garden.
June is survived by her
Sister, Louise Burton of Idaho Falls, ID;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, Eva Davis Humble, Ida Hampton, Alice Olney, Ruth Reid, and Bessie Warren, and three brothers, Bill, Verl, and Frank Fielding.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, 855 South Boulevard, with Bishop Jay Doman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
