Click Here To View Memorial Video Julie Anne Jackson, 54, of Idaho Falls, passed away on November 1, 2013, at her home from complications of a lingering illness. She was born on September 28, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Donald Earle Jackson and Vera Jeffery Jackson. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1977. She continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982. After graduating from college, Julie moved to Stamford, Connecticut and began a career in human resources at IBJ Schroeder in New York City. She spent the next 20 years working on Wall Street in various executive positions. In 2004, she returned to Idaho Falls to help care for her aging mother, and worked at the Hartwell Corporation and later as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Idaho Falls. In recent years, as she spent more time working with charitable organizations and in other volunteer capacities, Julie developed a keen interest in programs and services for the elderly. At the time of her death, she was nearing completion of a Master's degree in Gerontology from Concordia University Nebraska. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and had served in various positions throughout her life. Julie loved to travel, and her favorite destinations were Europe and Hawaii. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and watching football and tennis. She was also passionate about politics, history and current world affairs. She is survived by her brother Roger (Laurene) Jackson of Rexburg, brother Craig (Holly) Jackson of Idaho Falls, and sister Wendy Jackson of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and three great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Idaho Falls LDS Cedar Ridge Ward (3195 S. Holmes Avenue) with Bishop James Durrant officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 am prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
