Julie Ann Gunter

Julie Ann Gunter, 60, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away March 21, 2022, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Julie was born February 18, 1962, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Lawrence Gunter and Sharon Hathaway Gunter.  She grew up and attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School.

Julie made her home in Ammon, Idaho, where she worked as a Co-Manager at Walmart.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed riding around town and long trips with her daughter. She devoted her whole adult life to her adopted daughter from Ukraine. They loved to travel across the west visiting amusement parks and national parks, with Disneyland and Yellowstone as their favorite destinations.

Julie is survived by her loving daughter, Olivia Gunter of Ammon, ID; mother, Sharon Gunter; brothers, Lynn (Keri) Gunter, Jeffrey (Gloria) Gunter; and sister, Teresa (Mike) Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Gunter.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Ammon 18th Ward, 4363 East 17th Street, Ammon, Idaho, with Bishop J. T. Carle officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
