JUDY SOUTHARD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Julia Elizabeth “Judy” Bober Southard, 88, of Idaho Falls, died December 12, 2004, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. She was born May 7, 1916, in East Chicago, Indiana, to Stanley Bober and Agata Kaczacka Bober. She grew up in East Chicago and attended schools there, graduating from Roosevelt High School. She served as a Master Sergeant in the U. S. Women's Air Corps during World War II. She married Henry L. Southard in 1943 at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. They made their home in East Chicago, Indiana, where she was a homemaker and mother and also taught elementary school. Henry preceded her in death. She moved to Idaho Falls three years ago to be near her son and his family. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Idaho Falls and the Ladies Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of American Legion Post 369 and was active in the National Polish Alliance. She was an avid reader and loved the music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She was the proud grandmother of Chris, Jeff, Randy, and Sean Southard. Surviving are: Son: Jerry (Virginia) Southard, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: John Bober, AZ 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Emily, Mary, and Sue, and two brothers, Joe and Stefan. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2004, in East Chicago, Indiana. Entombment will be in St. John's St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana, under the direction of Lesniak Funeral Home, 4918 Magoun Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana 46312.
