To My Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Wife, and Wonderful Person:

You were born on November 24, 1954. Our parents, Lorenzo Malaver Aliaga and Susana Soto Cuba, celebrated your arrival, as did your siblings, Teresa, Rodolfo, and Carmela.

Julia was born to stand out, with her beautiful face, mischievous smile, and warrior spirit. During her adolescence, she excelled in sports—especially volleyball—at her school, Liceo Naval Teniente Clavero.

She was the perfect confidant and advisor to her peers—in school, during her higher education, and later at work—distinguishing herself through her organizational skills, leadership, and creativity, qualities recognized by her employer, Scotiabank in Peru.

Her dedication was evident from her early days at home. She cared for her family and gave her all for her siblings, nieces, and nephews, showing great generosity with her time, resources, and the love she shared with us. She was equally dedicated to her country, pursuing studies at the Center for Higher Military Studies and actively participating in social welfare initiatives and civic engagement.

Driven by her characteristic adventurous spirit, Julia traveled across Peru and the world, journeying throughout Europe and the Americas. It was during these travels that she met her life partner and husband, Pete Gold. Together, they shared dreams, voyages by sea and land, and a deep love for family and the homes they built in Rexburg and Arizona.

Julia leaves behind a legacy for her beloved daughter, Susana—one that Susana will carry forward—and leaves us with a model of generosity and courage that we will strive to emulate.

We will always be with you.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.

Julia había nacido para destacar con su bello rostro, traviesa sonrisa y espíritu guerrero. En su adolescencia sobresalió en los deportes especialmente en el vóley en su colegio Liceo Naval Teniente Clavero.

Ha sido la perfecta confidente y consejera de compañeras en el colegio, en sus estudios superiores y luego en el trabajo, sobresaliendo por su capacidad organizativa, liderazgo y creatividad reconocida por su centro de labores Banco Scotiabank en Perú.

Su entrega se vislumbró desde el hogar cuidaba de su familia y brindaba todo por sus hermanos, sobrinos, generosa en sus tiempos recursos y en el amor que nos brindaba, más también lo fue con su país, se preparó en el Centro de Altos Estudios Militares y participó activamente en acciones de bienestar social y formación de ciudadana.

Julia con ese espíritu aventurero que la caracterizaba, la llevó a recorrer nuestro Perú y el mundo viajando por toda Europa y América, es ahí donde conoce a su compañero de vida, su esposo Pete Gold con quien compartió sueños, travesías por mar y tierra, grandes afectos por la familia y hogar en Rexburg y Arizona.

Julia deja a su hija de corazón, Susana, un legado que ella seguirá y a nosotros un modelo de generosidad, valentía, que trataremos de emular.

Siempre estaremos contigo.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 14 de agosto de 2026 a las 11:00 a. m. en Wood Funeral Home East Side, ubicada en 963 S. Ammon Road. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 10:00 a 10:45 a. m., antes de los servicios. El sepelio tendrá lugar en el cementerio de Ammon.
