Judey was born January 2, 1949 in Nevada City, California of Roy D. and Helen Jones. She passed away August 8, 2016 in Blackfoot, Idaho at the home of her dear friends Richard and Christy Dumas and their son Louis, who was very beloved by Judey. Her foster mother and loving friends were by her side.
Judey is survived by her brother, Ken Jones and niece Kimberley Jones. She is also survived by her foster mother; Betty Amrine, foster sisters; Lori (David) Maxwell and Mari Bourret, and her foster brother; David (Diane) Christensen, nine foster nieces, and two foster nephews, eleven grand-nieces and eight grand-nephews. She is also survived by her cat, Midnight. She was preceded in death by her two cats, Spitfire and Jasmine.
Judey spent her growing-up years in several foster homes, and worked at several jobs until her last job at a printing shop, where she progressed into management. She began having trouble with painful wrists, and after several surgeries and no improvement, she retired. Judey loved to crochet, sew and garden, but the constant pain in her wrists and hands limited those activities. She was a hard worker, and kept her surroundings neat, orderly and well-cared-for.
Dr. Aste’s office was three doors down from Judey’s apartment in Manti, and he would visit with her while she was out gardening. In his kindness, he had the back yard to his office tilled so that she could have more gardening space, where she planted more flowers and vegetables. When Judey moved from Manti to Blackfoot, Dr. Aste and his son were there to help pack the truck.
Graveside services will be held August 11, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Groveland Cemetery, 426 W 200 N, Blackfoot, Idaho.
