Judy (Nield) Zachary

Judy Zachary, 86, for most of her life of Richland, Washington, passed away April 23, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Judy was born May 30, 1936, in Afton, Wyoming, to Laron Nield and Lucy Call Nield. She grew up and attended schools in Richland, Washington, and graduated from Columbia High School. On July 31, 1955, she married Daniel J. Zachary in Richland, Washington. Judy and Daniel made their home in Richland where they raised their children, Vicki, Daniel, and Suzanne. Judy also worked as a bookkeeper for various companies. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, crafting, and serving others. Judy is survived by her daughter, Vicki Alexander of Benton City, WA; son, Daniel Todd (Erin) Zachary of San Dimas, CA; daughter, Suzanne (DeVon) Doman of Idaho Falls; brother, Gary Nield of Murrietta, CA; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laron and Lucy Nield; husband, Daniel Zachary; and brother, Vernal Nield. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 724 N. Pittsburgh Street, Kennewick, Washington, with Bishop James Carey officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
