Judy Cheryl Sahr, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 27, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Judy was born August 17, 1945, in Northwood, North Dakota, to Gerald Wilson Flickinger and Bernice Louise Graven. She grew up on a farm and attended schools in Colgate, North Dakota, and graduated from Colgate High School.
On September 6, 1964, she married James Barlow Sahr in Page, North Dakota. Judy and James made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Judy worked as a seamstress and tailor.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed basketball, tennis, pickleball, golf, and loved playing all card games.
Judy is survived by her husband, James Sahr of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Brenda (Jed) Boal of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Brian (Ali) Sahr of Boise, ID; brother, Jerry (Carol) Flickinger of Hope, ND; sister, Jani (Rick) Olsen of Dillon, MT; 3 grandchildren, Sara Bennett, Davis Sahr, and Beau Sahr; and 1 great-grandchild, Sutton Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John Flickinger, Jr .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 455 West Sunnyside Road. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church.
