Judy Ann Acosta, born on December 5, 1946, in Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Uteave Orner. Judy was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Tonya Lyn Orner.
Judy is survived her loving children, John Lee Orner and Felix Acosta, along with Felix’s spouse, Jennifer Dawn Acosta. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Micheal Orner (spouse, Sheila Orner), Kayden Whitworth, and Korrinna Thomas, as well as her great grandchildren, Kalub and Keaira, who brought immense joy to her life.
Judy was a dear sister to Uteave (Adolf Perez), Alice, Rose, and Mary, and a caring sister to her brothers, Frank, Dim, and Rick Orner. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A woman of many talents, Judy had a passion for reading and crocheting. Her hands were rarely still, as she lovingly crafted afghans, hats, parkas, doilies, and scarves, most of which she generously gifted to family and friends. Her creations were a testament to her kindness and the warmth she shared with those around her.
Judy was known for her kind heart and her willingness to help others whenever she could. She was always ready with a listening ear and a comforting hug, accompanied by her radiant smile. Her legacy of love and compassion will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Judy Ann Acosta’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, family, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
