Judy Ann (Danielson) Rawson

Judy Ann Rawson, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 2, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with her loved ones by her side.  Judy was a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great mother and beloved friend to many.

Judy was born on September 6, 1947, in Portland, Oregon, and lived in many places as a child. She lived on a ranch in Victor, Idaho, with her grandparents. Judy also lived in Ririe, Idaho, where she went to high school. After living in Ririe, she lived in Montana and various places in Idaho. She spent most of her adult life in Idaho Falls where she worked as a housekeeper at Shilo Inn for over 20 years.

Following her retirement, she loved spending time with her family and birds. Judy enjoyed going camping and being in the outdoors. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she liked to knit, bake and teach her grandchildren to make candy. She taught all her older grandchildren the basic skill of sewing so they would all know how if they ever needed to.

Judy was a very loving person and took in all the neighborhood children as if they were her own and treated them no differently than her own. She touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Dean; and her grandparents, James and Lida Campbell.

She is survived by her lifelong partner, John “Aaron” McRae; sisters, Shirley Carpenter, Terrie (George) Morken, Karen Hadley and Sheila (Jeff) Ellingford; children, Elaine Rawson (Mickey Green), Kelly (Dominique) Rawson, Tyrel (Marina) McRae, Henry (Misty) McRae, Angie (Robert) Davies, Jeremy McRae and Chris Dougar; 16 grandchildren, five great granddaughters and a handful more that she claimed as her own. She was very loved and will truly be missed.

A gathering will be held 10 a.m.-12 noon Saturday, July 11th, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
