Judy Gay Craig, 67, our cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, at her home, of complications from melanoma brain cancer. She was surrounded by family members who love her dearly and will miss her always.
Judy was born March 20, 1944, in Shelley, Idaho, the daughter of Melvin Fielding and Wilma Killian Fielding. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School and attended Ricks College.
Judy was working as a carhop when she met her friend and sweetheart, James Craig. They were married September 13, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and were later sealed in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Judy was a wife, mother, and homemaker.
Judy was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and always served willingly. Judy had a strong faith and loved her Heavenly Father. She especially enjoyed working with the youth at BYU-Idaho. Judy enjoyed crafts especially sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Many of her loved ones have her homemade articles, and she made quilts to leave for her grandchildren.
Judy and Jim made many memories traveling. They loved to cruise and Hawaii was “their” destination. Judy was happiest when all her family were home with her, eating her tasty meals and making chaotic noise.
Judy is survived by her eternal companion of 48 years, James “Jim” Craig, who will miss her most of all, and their four married children and twelve grandchildren.
