Judy Lynn DePue Moore, 83, of Idaho Falls, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loved ones and under the compassionate care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Judy was born on May 27, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Horace E. Brown and Della "Ione" Bates Brown. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, she attended local schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1960.
Being naturally talented at helping others feel beautiful and welcome, she decided to attend beauty college, and thus worked as a hairdresser from her home for many years. Her warm heart and joyfulness made her everyone's favorite hairdresser and friend.
She married Pete DePue on September 1, 1972, and together, they shared 47 years of family, love, and laughter before his passing in April of 2019. Later, she found love again with longtime friend, Ross Richard Moore, and they were married on December 28, 2023, in Yuma, Arizona.
Judy found great joy in spending time at her homes in Idaho Falls, Yuma, and Heise. These places are where she felt true peace, connection, and happiness. She brought a bright light and so much laughter everywhere she went. Her kind heart and joyous playfulness touched all who knew her.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had a deep love for the simple joys in life like bowling, golfing, and camping. One of her most treasured places to camp was Cave Falls Campground. There she created countless memories over the years with both friends and family alike. It was one of her favorite places to relax, laugh, and soak in the beauty of nature.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ross Richard Moore; sister, Janet (Tom) Rahl; cherished stepchildren; Neva (Cris) Garrelts, Lorie Lynn Tucker, Derick (Janece) Moore, and Justin Moore; beloved grandchildren, Amanda Frey, Brett Ruger, Derek Tucker, Josh Tucker; great grandsons, Evan Garcia and Landon Tucker; plus all her nieces, nephews, and extended family who love and adored her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Ione Brown; her husband, Pete DePue; and sister, Carol Ann Olsen.
Judy's humor, warmth, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4600 South Yellowstone Hwy in Idaho Falls.
