Judith Ellen “Judy” Williams, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 4, 2026, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

Judy was born October 2, 1942, in Pocatello, ID, to Leland George Hawkley and Sarah Ellen Adkins Hawkley. She grew up and attended schools in American Falls, ID and graduated from American Falls High School. She attended Ricks College where she studied political science.

On April 12, 1966, she married George “Rex” Williams in Salt Lake City, UT. Judy and Rex made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Judy held many employment positions including a nursing aide, meat wrapper, Post Register advertising agent, and orthodontist receptionist, but the most important job was being a loving wife, mother, and friend.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many callings including stake dance director, ward Relief Society President, stake Relief Society Presidency, and ward Young Women President. She was also a dedicated visiting teacher.

Judy is survived by her husband, Rex Williams; son, Brian Rex (Jennifer) Williams; daughter, Jennifer Ellen (Aaron) Arnold; sister, Kathryn "Lee" Haskell; grandchildren, Jared Brian Williams, Michael James Williams, Sydney Yvonne Williams, Abigail Madeline Williams, Jacob Aaron Arnold, Joseph Rex Arnold, Samuel Gerald Arnold, Adam Michael Arnold, and Sarah Elisabeth Arnold; great-grandchildren, Violet Judith Williams, and Grayson Rex Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Sarah Ellen Hawkley; brother, Daniel Hawkley; and sister, Joan Nielsen.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Belmont Ward, 1660 12th Street, with Bishop Neal Cunningham officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
