JUDD MELGAARD
IDAHO FAlls, ID -- Judd Leon Melgaard, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 13, 2010, at his home.
Judd was born May 18, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George Leon Melgaard and Cora Fay Lee Melgaard. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and attended classes at Idaho State University.
On November 24, 1965, he married Edna May “Peachi” Fearheller in Idaho Falls. Together they raised four children. He was a lifelong resident of Idaho Falls and was the owner of a delivery service.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Judd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids.

Son: Judd Leon II (Janette) Melgaard of Lewisville, ID
Daughter: Sara (Rob Hannan) Farnes of Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Justin Lee (Sharon Lopez) Melgaard of Ammon, ID
Sisters: Cheryl (Jerry) Steven of Mt. Home, ID; Debra West of Idaho Falls, and Patty (Steve) Janney of West Virginia
Brother: Jeff Lynn (Kim) Melgaard of Rigby, ID
18 Grandchildren: John E. Smith, Joshua R. Muffler, Jacob S. Muffler, Joseph S. Muffler, A.J. Smith, Shantelle, Jordan, Shelisa Melgaard, Keith J. Farnes, Ryan J. Farnes, Todd B. Farnes, Alainna J. Hannan, Janie M. Hannan, Brad Hannan, Brittany Hannan, Shay Lopez-Stacey, Taisen Lopez-Scharer, and Makel Lopez-Scharer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 - 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services, both at Wood Funeral Home.. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear of Judd's passing. He always had a bright personality in high school.
I think I remember seeing him at Target. Did not recognize him after all these years. The newspaper picture rang a bell.
