Juanita Emerick

Juanita June Fawcett Emerick, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 14, 2011, at her home. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health & Hospice. She was born June 13, 1931, in Basalt, Idaho to Henry Earnest Fawcett and Arvilla Dye Fawcett. She grew up in the area and attended schools in Firth, Basalt, and Idaho Falls. On June 22, 1947, she married Harold Lewis Emerick in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their five children. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1992. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a nursing home aid and as a cook at the airport. Juanita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Survivors are: Daughter: Jackie Lanee Rockseth, Issaquah, WA Daughter: Dory Ann (Randy) Shipley, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Ronald Kay (Daniella) Emerick, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Brenda Jean (Brad) Landes, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Cecil Fawcett, Blackfoot, ID 9 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cindy Louise Emerick; granddaughter, Christy; and a sister, Dorothy Fawcett. Honoring Juanita’s wishes, no services will be held. Private family services will be held at Taylor Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave.
