Joyzelle Iverson

Joyzelle Eleanor Iverson, 76, of Ammon, passed away April 5, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and her loving family.

Joyzelle was born September 8, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Ray Eli Sterling and Joyzelle Eleanor Holleman Sterling. She grew up all over the world due to her father’s work, graduating from high school in Rome, Italy.

Joyzelle married Joe Sheridan in Texas. Together, they had a son, Joseph. They later divorced. She then married Max Iverson in Utah, which led them to Portland, Oregon, and settling in Los Angeles, California. Together, they had Brix and Porsche. They later divorced. She ran a successful interior design business in Los Angeles. After moving her family to Island Park, Idaho, she started another business, Last Chance, Co. She loved her years in Island Park. Joyzelle met and married Dennis Moedl in Island Park, spending a lot of her time at his ranch before they divorced.

She was a strong Christian. She loved many, and was loved by so many. She was successful at everything she did, designing hotels, movie sets, museums, etc.

Joyzelle is survived by her daughter, Porsche (Dustin) Sessions of Rigby, ID; son, Joe Iverson of Ammon, ID; son, Brix (Kym) Iverson of Big Lake, AK; and four grandchildren, Trey, Hunter, Taryn, and Bair.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Eli Sterling, Jr.; and  grandson, Tristan Shane Iverson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
