JOYCE SHORT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Joyce Ann Frayer Short, 64, died June 23, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from heart failure. She was born January 22, 1942, in Eureka Arkansas, to Robert Lee Frayer and Amanda Pauline Popplewell Frayer. She worked in the potato industry when younger, then, met and married Solon Grady Short November 12, 1970, in Burley, Idaho. He preceded her in death April 28, 2006. She operated a day care in her home, caring for children for 25 years. In addition to loving children, she enjoyed crocheting, boating and fishing, dancing, horseback riding, camping and all crafts. She is survived by: Son: Andrew Lee Short, Idaho Falls Son: David Grady Short, Sioux Falls, ND Daughter: Linda Jane Knapp, Elko, NV Mother: Amanda Pauline Frayer, Burley, ID Brothers: Robert Eugene Frayer, Rupert, ID James Larry Frayer, Burley, ID 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, a daughter, Peggy Louise Short, and her husband. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in the Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
