Joyce McCauley - 09/18/2001 Joyce McCauley - 09/18/2001 JOYCE McCAULEY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Shirley Joyce Wilson McCauley, 69, of Shelley, died September 15, 2001, at her brother’s home in Idaho Falls. She was born June 21, 1932, at Shelley, Idaho. to George D. Wilson and Bessie Pearl Mangum Wilson. She attended schools in Firth where she graduated from High School. After High School, Joyce decided Idaho didn’t offer the opportunity for work and excitement she desired, so she and a friend went to Kansas City to an Airline Training School. After completing her training, she went to work for Continental Air Lines in Denver. She lived in Denver for 43 years. She married Fred McCauley in 1962 in Denver. They were later divorced. Joyce thoroughly enjoyed her work as it involved meeting new people all the time and going different places. She had 45 years of service with Continental Airlines when she retired. She enjoyed interior decorating and had a part time business for several years. She also enjoyed plants and gardening. She was a strong advocate of humane treatment to all animals and always had several pets. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m., on Monday, September 24, 2001, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Jon Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services on Monday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
