Joyce Koster

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Joyce Marie Koster, 78, of Ucon, passed away May 24, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a stroke. She was born June 2, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to E. Byram Hill and Gladys Cumilla Jeffs Hill. She graduated from Ucon High School and attended Ricks College, where she obtained an Associates Degree in business. She married Wilford Koster on July 15, 1955, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Ucon, where they raised their two children. She worked for Roger's Brothers, then for School District #93, and later as an office manager at the State of Idaho Department of Lands. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President, as a Primary and Sunday School teacher, and she accompanied her husband, Wilford, in serving a building mission in New Zealand. She enjoyed doing genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: Husband: Wilford Koster, Ucon, ID Son: Terry (Nancy) Koster, Ucon, ID Son: Paul (Nikki) Koster, Castle Rock, CO Brother: Alden E. (Marjorie) Hill, Boise, ID Sister: Colleen (Kenneth) McGary, Ucon, ID 7 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Ucon LDS Ward, 10854 North 41 East. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
