JOY H. SOELBERG
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Joy Hoffman Soelberg, 76, of Idaho Falls, died March 29, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications following surgery.
She was born July 17, 1925, at Idaho Falls, to Wallace Hoffman and Arvilla Woolf Hoffman. She grew up in Idaho Falls and Arco, where she attended schools. While raising three children and working full-time, she went back to high school and graduated from Butte High School in 1960.
She married Dean S. Soelberg June 6, 1942, at Shelley. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple July 12, 1944. They made their home in Arco and Idaho Falls, except during Dean's military service. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a Secretary and Program Coordinator at the Department of Agriculture, ASCS office.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Stake Young Women's Presidency, was Stake and Ward Dance Director, and also served in the Relief Society.
She served as President of the National Business Professional Women's Club and on the Board of Directors of Lost River Electric Cooperative. She enjoyed sewing, reading, costume designing, and was noted for her beautiful handwriting.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Boulevard Ward, 315 West 14th Street, with Bishop Art Rammell officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
