In May 2015, Joy Stockton Patton, 86, moved from Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Texas, where she spent a wonderful ten months with her five (5) grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She passed away peacefully March 6, 2016, at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. Joy was married to Floyd Patton for over 20 years and called Idaho Falls home since the early 1980s. Joy worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 and Floyd at the Site. Joy also had two beautiful daughters, Deborah Dee Hainsworth and Joyce Marie Woodward. Joy was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, crafts, 48-Hours Mystery, mingling with her friends, bragging about her 130 IQ score and being extremely witty. Joy is survived by granddaughter, Jenn Brunson of Grand Prairie, TX; grandson, Michael Applebury of North Richland Hills, TX; granddaughter, Shannon Mattiza of Midlothian, TX; grandson, Spencer Applebury, who is active duty military - E-8 USAF stationed in Germany; and grandson, Tyler Hainsworth, of Grand Prairie, TX. Joy was also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacob, Savanna, Mikaela, Jacob, Colby, Dalton, Haylen, Matthew, Ethan, Alexa and Ayva. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, and her children. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Bishop Ryan Meikle officiating.
