Josie Goldman

Josie Susanna Fallis Goldman, 39, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2012, at her home due to complications from the flu. She was born August 10, 1973, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dewey Lane Fallis and Leota Ruth Jones Fallis. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. She also lived briefly in Maryland and Alaska. She married Matthew Burch November 28, 1992, and they were later divorced. On January 10, 2006, she married Brent Scott Goldman in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was a mother and homemaker and had also worked at Good Samaritan, Noble Finance, In-Home Daycare, Advance America, and Aspire Human Services. Josie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed scrapbooking, camping, four-wheeling, and especially loved activities with her family. Survivors include: Husband: Brent Goldman of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Hillary (Michael) Casteel of Ucon, ID Son: Logan Burch of Firth, ID Son: Cody Burch of Firth, ID Son: Cameron Goldman of Brigham City, UT Daughter: Jenna Goldman of Idaho Falls, ID Mother: Leota Olmos of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Dewey (Kandace) Fallis, Jr. of Rigby, ID Sister: Julie Baker of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Tammy (Bryan) Irish of Pocatello, ID Sister: Malinda (Bruce) Anderson of Rigby, ID Stepbrothers: David Bates of Melba, ID Mike Holm of Idaho Falls, ID Todd Holm of Idaho Falls, ID Dustin Holm of Boise, ID Steven (Melissa) Holm of Idaho Falls, ID Stepsisters: Karen (Dave) Williams of Rockford, ID Tammy Golder of Idaho Falls, ID Wendy Goodyear of Pingree, ID Kelly (Bret) Somsen of Idaho Falls, ID and one grandchild, Zerelda Casteel. She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Fallis, Sr; brother-in-law, BC Baker; stepmother, Sharon Fallis; and her grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Shelley LDS Taylorview Ward, 1291 West 65th South - York Road, with Bishop Dennis Pond officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to the Josie Goldman Memorial Fund at any branch of Westmark Credit Union.
