Josephine Winder

Josephine Winder, 80, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away August 25, 2011, at her home in Anaheim, California. Josephine was born September 21, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John Amos Rhoades and Sarah Edna Goodson Rhoades. She married Edward Devere Winder on September 25, 1947, in Idaho Falls, where they made their home. They had five daughters. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Edward preceded her in death on January 28, 1989. Josephine worked as a housekeeper at LDS Hospital Idaho Falls, Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, and St. Joseph’s in Orange, California. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, and traveling to London, England, and Ireland. Survivors include: Daughter: Mary Lynn (Michael) Clark or Arroyo Grande, CA Daughter: JoAnn Jorgensen of Orange, CA Daughter: Connie (Pete) Whaley of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Penny (Brandon) Olson of Idaho Falls, ID eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and S. Edna Rhoades; her husband, Edward DeVere Winder; a daughter, Elizabeth June Winder; and a brother, Dennis Earl Rhoades. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Annis-Little Butte Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
