Joseph Albert Moser, 91, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away October 2, 2017, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. He was under the care of OneSource Hospice. Joe was born October 19, 1925, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Francis Moser and Elisa Stucki Moser. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Ucon High School. He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was injured in the battle of Luzon Island in the Phillipines. On August 15, 1946, he married Ruby Myrth Swanson Moser in Idaho Falls. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Joe and Ruby made their home in Idaho Falls. Joe worked for Snake River Equipment, Gibbons & Reed, and Arrington Construction, to name a few, for over 50 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joe loved to fish and said "a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work," and "The earth is 3/4 water and 1/4 land. The Good Lord knew we would fish more than we would plow." Joseph is survived by daughter, Jacki (Larry) Stevens of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Michael (Paula) Moser of Everton Park, Australia; son, Greg Moser of Stevens Point, WI; son, Joe (Claudette) Moser, Jr. of Preston, ID; daughter, Michelle Moser of Idaho Falls, ID; 27 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 15 brothers and sisters; a son, Steven Craig Moser, and a grandson, Stephen Patrick Heileson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge), with Bishop Jason Skillings, of the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
