Leo camping in Sawmill Canyon in the early 90's. My husband was Mike, 'The General' and we lived at the Guard Station. We always enjoyed visiting with you on your camping trips. Mike passed away 9 years ago, but I have stayed in Mackay and fondly look back on our canyon memories, especially the times we spent with you and J. Leo. I was sorry to find his obituary in the paper, but trust that God is giving you strength to accept His will. I still have the buffalo that J. Leo carved for us. He inscribed the bottom: Carved by J. Leo Cook....Mike and Barbara. I'm sure you have many more of his carvings, but if you want this one for any reason, I will be happy to send it to you. Again, you and the family have my deepest sympathies. Barbara Welch, (208)588-2956 --------------------------------------------------
