Our condolences go out to you and your family. Know that you are all in our prayers at this sad time. I am Bertha Allen Wilcox's daughter. We live in Gasron, Oregon, near Portland so we will not be able to attend the funeral. Pearl, I remember enjoying attending family reunions when I was small that you and your husband attended.

I am the eldest son of Lee and Thelma Franck. Please accept our condolences in this sad time. It has been many years since Uncle Orval cut my hair while discussing the bible with Lee. He was a wonderful man.

One of my earliest memories is of a camping trip in Yellowstone Park. During the night a bear took our grub box. Uncle Orval and My Dad went after him with sticks and brought our food back. Since that day, many years ago, he has been one of my heros. Know that you are in my prayers.

Thank you for the kindness and graciousness that you have shown to us throughout the years that we have known you. I will always remember Orval's very generous gift of money to me after the untimely death of my son, James, less than a year after my first wife, Carol, passed away. Please know that you have our love, prayers, and empathy at this time and always.
