Jose Silvas, Sr.

Jose Luis Silvas, 44, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 4, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Jose was born May 5, 1980, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Miguel V. Silvas and Maria Martinez Silvas.

On January 31, 2015, he married Korina Venegas in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Jose and Korina made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Jose worked as an automotive mechanic.

He was a member of Community Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. He was known for his helping hand. Camping was his church time. Family was very important to him.

Jose is survived by his wife, Korina Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Laticia (Dominic) Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, LaTyna (Giovanny) Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tanaka Venegas of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Esidro Venegas of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Eliseo Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Chantel Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jose Silvas Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Juan Silvas of Idaho Falls, ID; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
