Jose "Joe" Carrasco

Jose Luis "Joe" Carrasco, 62, of Terreton, Idaho, passed away May 2, 2016. Jose was born June 10, 1953, in Camargo, Mexico, to Jose Luis Carrasco and Maria Elena Rosales. He grew up and attended schools in Mexico. On March 23, 1979, he married Carma Jean Summers in Roberts, Idaho. To this union was born one child, Elena. Joe took on the role of raising Carma’s son, Brian. Jose and Carma made their home in Terreton, Idaho, where Jose worked for Stockman Supply. Carma passed away in 2002. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed gardening, camping, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, and being a grandfather. Jose is survived by his best friend Carmen Barrientos of Terreton, ID; daughter, Elena (Jordan) Koslosky of Pocatello, ID; son, Brian (Tammy) Radford of Winnemucca, NW; 6 siblings in Mexico; 4 grandchildren, Kemper, Brock, Kayleen, and Lexie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carma Jean Summers; father, Jose Luis Carrasco; mother, Maria Elena Rosales; and five siblings. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Terreton Stake Center, 1297 East Highway 33, with Bishop Shaun Grover officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at any Bank of Commerce under the West Jefferson Lions Club in Jose’s name.
