Click Here To View Memorial Video Jorlei Car-dee Gillis, 35, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 10, 2014, due to injuries received in an automobile accident on Bone Road. She was born February 16, 1979, in Pampa, Texas, to Bruce Alton Gillis and Karla Lee Gahagan Gillis. The family moved to Idaho Falls where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School and excelled in extracurricular activities like the Flag Team. She attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, where she studied Hospital Administration and was on the Dean’s List. Jorlei was a devoted mother, homemaker and also worked as a Manager at Big Lots. She loved her children - they were her life. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, exploring the outdoors, and the pastime of fishing. She is survived by: Daughter: Lexis Nevaeh Gillis (11) of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jacob Allen Garwood (7) of Idaho Falls, ID Father: Bruce Gillis, Pampa, TX Stepmother: Seana O'Neill, Pampa, TX Mother: Karla Gillis, Idaho Falls, ID Stepfather: Troy L. Whitaker of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Jace Lafayette Whitaker of Idaho Falls, ID Grandfather: LB Dunning of Mountain Home, ID Grandparents: Thomas D and Linda Gahagan of Tehachapi, CA; She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George F. & Dolores May Gillis and grandmother, Carlyne Dunning. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
